Auto Body Shops and Air Cleaners
Body filler sanding, spot priming, welding, and cutting produce significant quantities of airborne respirable particles. These particles, due to continuous daily exposure are deemed to be a health hazard. In addition, the particulate that settles on surfaces is a real housekeeping challenge. If you experience a cloud or fog build-up in your shop, you need a better exhaust system (which will also exhaust heated and refrigerated air) or you need a US Body Products workshop air cleaner system.
After over 30 years of experience in cleaning the air in auto body repair shops and many air quality testings, we know for sure that your shop will be 75% to 90% cleaner when you install one of our air cleaner systems. It is important to understand that airborne pollutants will travel on an air stream. If the air stream is not toward the intake of the filtration system, or exhaust fan, the pollutants will not be removed. Because of this phenomenon, the circular air stream pattern produced by our air cleaners, when properly installed, cause the pollutants to move rapidly to the filters. We do not rely on suction alone.
A properly installed US Body Products air filtration system is usually more effective than an exhaust system or mobile workstation air cleaner. Virtually all auto body repair shops using our air cleaners replace the primary bag filter once each year.
